Automate carrier change process

international packages regularly have more than one carrier involved. for example, say we ship a package from china to the US. It will start with SFC and then after it is cleared by US Customs, it will be handed off to a last mile delivery service (typically FedEx, USPS or Lasership) The only way to keep the info current for our clients is to manually review the tracking info and manually enter the new tracking number and carrier in the Shopify order when the hand off occurs. Very time consuming and would be incredible if we could automate this

Thank you for following up. Is it possible to write definitions for the last mile tracking numbers to automatically assign the carrier? LaserShip, USPS and FedEx all follow very different formats with their tracking number conventions. Or maybe a trigger of some sort could be set to change the carrier when key phrases are detected in the tracking, such as "Arrived At FedEx Location" etc?

Hi Dan, I checked the website of SFC, it shows the last mail tracking number, but did not show the last mail delivery service. We don’t know which one of FedEx, usps, and lasership is the last mile logistics provider.
For Yunexpress, we can show the last tracking carrier&tracking number in the tracking page, but as to SFC, we may need more time to check this issue.
